Many children in Uttar Pradesh are deprived of education due to poverty. The Uttar Pradesh Economic Survey 2024-25 paints a grim picture. Ballia, Uttar Pradesh has the highest secondary school dropout rate in India, where 25.30% of children drop out of school before completing Class 10.
Imagine a child who is eager to study/learn. But due to poverty, they are unable to continue further and drop out. These children are from low-income families. They are 10 times more likely to drop out of school. Efforts are being made to improve their future so that their educational potential is not tapped. This is not a statistic, it is a call to action.
